Dr. Romanus L. Dimoso, a Tanzanian born on 13^th June, 1964 in Morogoro, Tanzania, is a PhD holder awarded in 2009 at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. His areas of academic competences and specializations are Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Agricultural Economics, Econometrics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Public Sector Economics, Monetary Economics, and Quantitative Research Methodology. Dr. Dimoso is currently actively engaged in teaching Advanced Econometrics Theory, Applied Econometrics and Advanced Quantitative Research Methods for Masters and PhD students at Mzumbe University inclusive of all its campus colleges and training centres in the country. He is also supervising both PhD and Masters Students in their research and theses writing.

Dr. Romanus L. Dimoso has carried out a wide range of academic, professional and administrative posts. Of recent, he was the Head of Mzumbe University Mwanza Centre. Dr. Dimoso was the Acting Director and later full Director of the Directorate of Research, Publications and Postgraduate Studies of Mzumbe University for six years from January 2012 to December 2017. In between 2015 – 2017, the University Council appointed him to serve as Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Finance) of Mzumbe University.

Dr. Dimoso is an external examiner in economics related programmes to various academic institutions of high learning in the country and abroad including Dodoma based Institute of Rural Development Planning - IRDP and Sokoine University of Agriculture - SUA (local) and University of Zambia and University of Malawi (foreign). Based on his academic expertise and administrative treasury, Dr. Dimoso was involved in a number of profiled consultancies commissioned by the university and outside organizations. Amongst consultancies commissioned by the university are being the chair of various committees including but not limited to the 4^th Mzumbe University Corporate Strategic Plan (2017/18-2020/2021), the 14^th and 15^th Mzumbe University Graduation Committees (2015-2016), Mzumbe University Review Committees of Publication Policy and Postgraduate Guidelines, Mzumbe University Housing Committee, et cetera. Amongst consultancies commissioned by outside organizations are conducting Technical Evaluation for assessing and verifying the readiness of Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) to upgrade to the Certificate of Accreditation (CoA) level. In this consultancy, Dr. Dimoso was the chairperson of the Technical Evaluation Committee appointed by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU). Others of similar nature and the capacity he was performing in brackets are: Reviewing Bachelor of Science in Business Administration offered by Mbeya University College of Science and Technology (MUST) commissioned by Inter University Council of East Africa –IUCEA (Team member), reviewing Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance offered by the then Moshi University College of Business and Cooperatives (MUCCoBs) commissioned by Inter University Council of East Africa-IUCEA (Team member) and being a Chief Adviser and Senior Economist for all Catholic Church Development Projects in the Diocese of Morogoro appointed by his Lordship Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Morogoro.

Mrs Aurelia Ngirwa Kamuzora is a Tanzanian.She possesses an MSc.Economics and Management degree of Agder University College.Currently, she is a PhD (Law and Economics) –Research Fellow at Groningen University in The Netherlands.She has published several papers about women entrepreneurs.

Dr. Eliaza Mkuna is holding a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), South Africa., MSc. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in Tanzania and specialization from University of Pretoria (UP), South Africa and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Dodoma Tanzania. Currently is working in the position of Lecturer in Economics at Mzumbe University-Tanzania, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Economics. Also apart from being a Lecturer, he is also a Coordinator and Head of Department of Outreach, Marketing and Collaborations at the University. Before joining the University he worked as Research Associate (Agricultural Economics) at AVRDC-The World Vegetable Center, Eastern and Southern Africa. His areas of interest include agricultural policy analysis, Natural resources Economics, Project Management, monitoring and evaluation, farming systems, and value chains development. Prior to joining AVRDC, Dr. Eliaza also researched on non-tariff barriers and agribusiness SME cross-border trade in East Africa through the African Agribusiness Academy (AAA) and the University of Wageningen, The Netherlands. Moreover, Dr. Eliaza recently has been working with different local and international organizations in a number of projects, research, consultancies and collaborations such as Agricultural Non-State Actors Forum (ANSAF), National Board of Accountancy and Auditors (NBAA), Tanzania Commission for Universities, Research on Poverty Alleviation (REPOA) and The Tax Justice Network-Africa (Nairobi) to mention few.
He has published widely in the areas of Agricultural Policy, trade, agribusiness, natural resources and Development Economics and has attended several international and local conferences on African continent development Agenda. His recent research articles appear in Lakes & Reservoirs: Science, Policy and Management for Sustainable Use (Wiley), Hydrobiologia (Springer), African Journal of Science, Technology, Innovation and Development (Taylor and Francis) and AFRIKA FOCUS (Ghent University)

Dr Shitima is an economist with expertise in and passion for conducting researches in different areas of socio-economic development. I am particularly, interested in studying the gendered social relations and their impact on livelihood outcomes in terms of the access to resources, wellbeing and status of natural resources. I combine my knowledge in economics and development studies to conduct researches beyond household analysis and consider intra-households diversities in the production and consumption system. In addition, I apply intersectionality theory to ascertain how different social categories intersect to affect people’s lives in different ways, compared to the impact of a single social category. I use mixed method of researches to approach my researches through applying both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Ms. Nyamsabhi M. Nyamwero
Nyamsabhi Maketu Nyamwero is a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Economics - Faculty of Social Sciences at Mzumbe University. She has been a faculty member since September, 2022. Nyamsabhi holds Bachelor of Science in Economics – Economic Planning and Policy from Mzumbe University (2019). Miss. Victoria Jovin Mugula is an Economist holding a Master of Science in Agriculture Economics and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics and Agribusiness both attained from Sokoine University of Agriculture. Currently, she is an Assistant Lecturer at Mzumbe University in the Department of Economics. On top of that she has more than eight years teaching experience in the field of Economics and other related fields in different universities.
